DAVID NASH
December 14th 2015 - February 20th 2016
A collection of around 20 artworks, including sculptures, drawings and pastels by David Nash will be exhibited, starting from Monday December 14, at 6pm at Gallerja, space for contemporary art in Via della Lupa in Rome. It is a rare occasion to admire Nash's artworks in the capital city.
Nash is an English sculptor, born in Esher - Surrey. The artist has spent a long period of his childhood in Ffestiniog, Wales, where his father owned a forest, here Nash first became aware of the trees and of wood, which he has used to create many of his sculptures.
After working for a short period for the Commercial Forestry Group, he completed his studies at Brighton College, at the Kingston College of Art (1963-1967) and at the Chelsea School of Art (1969-70); since 1970 he has started to create sculptures and installations that can be seen all over the world.
